TODAY'S MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Greetings & Salutations,

I say that with more confidence today, because after today, I fully expect someone to actually be reading these posts! I believe this because I accomplished my mission today of getting this blog more presentable and informative. I look forward to helping the 30 something (and counting!)new referred writers. Once they truly begin to get their feet wet at Constant Content, they will need all the encouragement they can get. I only hope they return to this blog to get it.

Anyway, I'm beat! It's crazy how one little online project can turn into a 24 hour nightmare! I'm about ready to turn in, but not before I share some additional good news.

1) I made a new friend online (NO - not THAT kind of friend:)
I met a young lady in NYC and she welcomes the ideal (as do I) of becoming writing buddies. It's one thing that I've never had, and apparently, we have that in common, as well as our love of writing.

Carolyn, my new buddy, is an accomplished writer, as can be seen by this awe-inspiring article she wrote on the Great Wall Of China. Like most of us great writers (yeah - I said "us"), she has not been getting paid anywhere near what her writing is worth! She will be joining us soon on Constant Content, but I especially look forward to corresponding with her on a number of writer related stuff.

2) While popping over to the Hubpages website to get the url for Carolyn's article, I came across something about another site that pays. I wouldn't have even bothered reading the article, but it sounded like it may have a similar structure as CC, although there appears to be a CAP on their standard payments. They are said to pay from $5 - $15. While this is not as great as CC, if it is legitimate pay and they don't want you to write a whole book for it, it might be worth checking out. I already signed up and I'm going through the waiting period (unlike CC also), but I won't post any details until I know the real "skinny".

WRITERS REMEMBER:

CC (like most places) wants original content, and of course NOT plagiarized in any way. While we wouldn’t think of plagiarizing someone else’s work, we could easily be cited for duplication of our own stuff. There are legitimate ways to work around this. All of us have a lot of GOOD stuff we’ve written, that we know could earn us some cash under the right circumstances.

RECYCLE & REUSE ARTICLES!

There are so many options open to you with your existing articles. You could just submit them “as is”, after any necessary modifying, then polish them so as not to make them DUPLICATE content. Here are suggestions on good ways to do this, as well as another option for existing or previously published writing that you have.

Option 1: Save yourself a copy first, then REMOVE previously published (non $ productive) content, especially if it received a good amount of hits. Then modify the title and POLISH the article up. At that point, you can submit the article as is. Polishing the article means going over it with a fine tooth comb, after spell checking it! ASK yourself these questions and make sure you’re satisfied with the answer.

Is it Grammatically Correct? Is it Concise?

Is it Understandable? Is it Factual?

Is it Current or Have a Long Shelf Life?

The answers to these questions will have a bearing on how well your articles will sell

THESE IMPORTANT ELEMENTS RESULT IN A WELL- WRITTEN AND WELL POLISHED ARTICLE

Option 2: Leave the existing article published where it is (this means taking more definite steps to prevent search engines from viewing it as duplicated content). Be sure to CHANGE the title (don’t make it even similar to the previous one because you’ll already have some similar content and you don’t want any flags for duplication). Then go through the article tooth and nail. You can use the same basic structure and body content, but re-state key words and phrases in “other” similar but effective words and phrases. This should prevent any problems related to duplicate or non-original content.

If you use the above methods, you can go through your writing library of existing work and probably come up with lots of stuff to submit to Constant Content right away
